The study, which we originally made the dining room was one of the toughest rooms in the house…a whole in the roof had caused a significant amount of damage to the ceiling, outside wall and the floor.
Jessica, her boyfriend Sam, and Kevin had to pull off the entire roof and replace it. After the roof was good, we had a new window installed and my husband started off with renovating the inside. About a quarter of the ceiling drywall was replaced as was a lot of the wall. I believe I posted before when Kevin replaced the floor beams on the floor. The pictures below are some of the original pictures we got from the inspection and this post concentrates on the inside.
We decided to move the dining room to the back room, and converted this room into a study/pub. It’s a great place to sit while cooking dinner and to have some quiet time reading. Since these pictures we have picked up a shelf unit for our books that sites in the corner to the right of the window, and a different armchair.
We still have to add the crown molding to this room, and re do the floors, but it is one of my favorite rooms in the house.
